Replacement SRG Tub
« Reply #-1 on: April 30, 2016, 07:37:30 PM »
So I took my SRG apart to clean before moving and found the chamber is rusted almost 50% around the bottom.  It will break off anytime.  Is it worth it to buy a replacement or a whole new SRG??

A new tub is about $50 give or take, and new SRG is $150 + so really up to you.  I think I would replace the tub and keep on cooking.

Believe it or not I'm still on the very first SRG I got back when CB sent me a pre-production unit to play with.  Only issue I have ever had was to weld the bottom back on the tub  :D

Mine is years old and the same way.  Keep on cooking with it til it falls apart, then get a new drum. Dee
