There are all kinds of diets out there and some are effective while others are misleading.  When you cut to the chase, what cannot be denied is that in order to lose weight you have to consume fewer calories than your body needs to maintain its current weight.  There's no getting around that.  Life isn't fair

Not all calories have the same impact, though.  Fat calories are always the tastiest ones (deep fried ones, especially).  Life isn't fair.

The only way to eat the same number of calories you're eating "not on a diet" and perhaps lose weight is to exercise so that your body will burn more than you eat (see first statement).  Life isn't fair.

I think you meant "low carb".  Tommy how much have you lost now?  Anything above 50 lbs is great.

While that is most certainly true, the calories that come in liquid form from Scotland are really, really close ! ! !

Congrats LA ! ! !

I believe a vegan diet is the best for health and longevity in life no doubt about it. I just can't subscribe to it. But congrats to you for changing your lifestyle with less meat and more veggies.

John, that is a great accomplishment. How am I going to recognize you when I see you next month?

Find me (should be easy - I just came off a month "steak-loading" in South America and definitely haven't lost any weight) and then look around for the skinny bastard with the hot wife and daughters. They'll probably be wearing matching t-shirts.
