Barrel Cookers
« Reply #-1 on: May 17, 2012, 10:40:06 PM »
I learned to cook on homemade barrel cookers at hunt camp.
We had 2 & they burned out about 1 a year.
Give me a clean barrel, a power drill, saw, bits , bolts , nuts, a couple hinges , expanded metal & I've helped/ made enough I bet I can still have one cookin in 45 min!
Well this is how I learned to cook, while everyone else had a weber kettle I bought a CB-940.
It's still my favorite way to cook! That why I LUST after smokes metro grill!
I would love sparky's Hasty Bake, but who wants a grill that will outlive you?
I have a new braunfels offset , but main chamber is 36 X 16 & works great as a barrel cooker.
