I need a bigger charcoal grill..help please
« Reply #-1 on: July 01, 2014, 08:34:31 AM »
I have a lil smokey that is way to small for how I cook. I looking at a Weber touch I think it is. Suggestions please..at least a 22 incher, I need more space, I like to load the grill when I cook. I like the half baskets I saw also to load charcoal. I cook in sections. Thanks in advance.  Pam   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Pam I would get a Weber Performer Gold if you have the room. It has everything you will need in a charcoal grill. Size and a built-in table for those big cooks ;)

Weber One Touch Gold if you don't need the work space of the performer (I am not a big fan of the storage bin either).  I would love to have a 26, but the 22 is decent size.  Just my opinion, but the gold is way worth the couple of extra bucks vs the silver so that you get the ash catcher.  Also, take a look at Craigslist.  Weber kettles are pretty common and can be had for a lot cheaper than new.

I have the Weber Performer because I wanted the work space and bin. Mine has the propane starter - very handy. But if you don't want or need that stuff - the one you have shown is excellent. These are great kettles and I love mine.

That's a sexy color there Pam...I had a Performer platinum I dearly love. that grill is the same size as the Perform....which will most likely be all you need. Good price .....Go for it !!!

Another way would be the Old Smokey 22.5 inch...a little cheaper.......$60 at Academy Sports.....Those who have them seem to love them.

Spray the cooking grates down with some Pam  :D and get to cooking.  No burn-in needed.  You can season the inside of the kettle if you want, but it is not necessary.
