Title: Makers Mark
Post by: nepas on July 24, 2016, 04:20:39 PM
Way back 7 years ago i joined the MM Ambassador club. Got my name on a barrel plate with my member number and barrel number. Now the wait started. I got many MM freebies in the mail like you MM ambassadors do for your bottles.

Anyways

This past April i get an envelope in the mail Inside was my MM Golden ticket telling me my barrel is ready.

WOOO HOOO

I do the RSVP to them and set my dat to July 16/16. I went up to Lumpys house for the weekend and we went to the MM Distillery sat morning, upon entering i showed the guy at the counter my ticket and he took me to the back room where the days MM Ambassadors get their RSVP checked.

I got this little badge with my name, a ticket for Micheal and off we go.

I was kinda bummed because i thought (like a few others in line) that the barrel would be tapped to fill our bottles  :( :( I was told that all the rsvp barrels were put together for that day and bottled  ??? ??? Oh well its all good. You can get 4 bottles with your name on it for HOW MUCH $48 ea...Yikes
Oh well i got a bottle and Micheal got one. I also got a bottle of clear MM and got to dip our bottles.

So all in all the tour was cool, the gift shop was for tourists (like me) and making $$$ like crazy.

We did have a good time though.

Then we went to the range where i put 350 rounds through my 9mms. Yup a lifetimer.

Sounds like it was a nice tour even if it was a bit pricey.
