Great looking burgers and video Tom!

Good job highlighting the slide n grill Tom. While the sear box is a must have (imho) it can always be purchased at a later date if funds are tight.
Looks like the slide n grill will do the trick while waiting for the sear box.

Just curious. Why do you need the sear box if it will sear without it?

Awesome question! The Sear box gets much hotter and it can be ready immediately for the sear. My next video will show that. Thanks for Watching!

Again, just out of curiosity, what would be the advantage of having the slide n grill if the sear box does so much better?
Not knocking the Camp Chef. Just not understanding the advantage of having both.
When would you use the slide n grill function as opposed to the sear box. (or vice versa)
Inquiring minds need to know. ;D ;D

You are probably correct in stating that there really isnt an advantage to having both. I did the slide and grill video to show if it actually worked, which it kinda did, but it doesnt even came close to searing like the sear box does. One advantage I see is the the slide and grill really only gets truly hot in one place which is directly over the fire pot. So if you were doing a bunch of burgers you would have more control over the cook. Kinda like on your gas grill when you plan your cook and move the meat between the hot spots and not so hot spots. I also thought that when doing wings that it might be nice option to crisp the skin up. All just thoughts I still need to try it out.
Good Questions! Keep them coming :)
