From fly swatter to handgun - that is some serious escalation of force.  At least now we know when to visit.   ;)

My son has me paranoid, and I now nearly always have my weapon close.  Saw cougar tracks in the snow at the end of my driveway last winter, front/rear tracks were spaced about 10 feet apart - my mailbox is across the road from my driveway

We have Cougars out here too! But they only attack young single men at night clubs ???
