Title: Just got done breaking in my clay bread pan.
Post by: smokendevo on March 28, 2014, 05:43:01 PM: Went with SiFumar's Easy Crusty Bread as I have made this before and it is very simple to make. I did add smoked gouda cheese but in the pictures the bread was still to hot for the cheese to show up but it is there :)
Oven mitts are for sure a good thing to have even after this pan has sat for a while ::)

Post by: smokendevo on March 28, 2014, 08:08:05 PM: I wanted to put score marks in the loaf but I found the dough very soft to cut. Seems you don't need deep score marks in soft bread dough as it collapse on it's self. Found this video on thefreshloaf.com on scoring

This would make good round loafs. Of course if you have a dutch oven you could also use that.
