Title: Can't fix this kind of stupid
Post by: Pappymn on April 17, 2014, 09:24:50 PM
So I was moving some meat from my kitchen freezer to my basement freezer last weekend. Then I left town on Sunday for work. Wife calls me today as I was still out of town and tells me that something in our basement smells like death.

She was kind enough to send me a picture of the 5 pounds of riblets I failed to actually put in the freezer.

My 10 year old daughter said it "smelled like stupid"

Sharp kid!

I would have to agree with this except that I get up to get a glass of water and come back with a bag of chips, get half way through the chips and remember it was water I really wanted and I eat lot's of the dreaded peas. ;)

I've done worse.

One summer one of us shut off the power to a chest freezer containing two cut and wrapped deer.  Then we went on vacation for two weeks!

She said it was  me.  I said...well, you know.  I didn't get any sympathy during a particularly distasteful cleaning project.

I have done that a couple of times.  Once was in the back of the wagon.   It turns out,  the only way to get that smell out is to trade it in.
