Happened to scroll to bottom & noticed were over 100 members.
Unbelievably active forum for that many members.

Recruit!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Go out and get 'em! Folks are out there looking for a place with nice, friendly, fun people like YOU - where they can talk BBQ, and smoked meat, etc.

I hope all you are aware of how special we have made this place so far. If you are not, may I please remind you:

1. We are not a brand specific site. We are no owned by any brand of equipment.

2. We are free to discuss all kinds of cooking - from campfire to charcoal, gas, stick burning, home built - heck indoor ovens and microwaves - if that is what made the recipe work for you.

3. Everyone here respects others and their opinions. THAT IS SPECIAL......There has not been an argument or any unpleasant exchanges yet. And - I am telling you - we will not tolerate that. We are here for fun, and exchange of ideas and encouragement, right?

4. The site is USER DRIVEN. it is your site. Tell us what you want in other features, etc, and you will find LTBBQ will respond - and make all effort to accommodate!.

The more folks we tell, the more we grow, the more fun it can be.

Just one tip: When you get someone to join, they are supposed to get an e-mail from an Admin. asking them to respond to it, describing what they like to cook and the kind of gear they use, This is a security procedure to help us keep spammers out. I think we can agree that it has worked well - but be sure to let all potential members know that they must respond to the e-mail in order to activate their acct. and be able to post.

Thank YOU for making LTBBQ the nice place that it has become.!

Cool! I didn't want to break protocol here. I can try to recruit some active members from the other one I'm on.

Absolutely Mike. If you were invited here, then someone already trusts your judgement, and knows you as a "good guy".

And - just for the record, if you recruit someone, and they one day kinda go off the rails...it will never be held against you. We realize that each of us is not responsible for someone else's actions.

I love this place and how friendly & encouraging folks are.

It's one of the few forums where I can honestly say that and mean it!

Glad you are here Cliff! The feeling of the forum is merely a reflection of it's members. Never underestimate your value to the group. Everyone contributes something positive, that makes us all better off for being part of it!

I agree 110%!!  Great how you don't have to worry about having your hands slap for talking about a product that you like.

And THAT will not change. If we are successful in picking up any site sponsors - they will understand ( and  if they are smart - will appreciate) hearing the straight truth about their and others products form the users perspective. There is no better tool  for quality control, and product improvement than that!
