pz meets smoker pete
« Reply #-1 on: August 06, 2014, 02:19:04 AM »

Having a fabulous time here at Winchester Bay Oregon visiting with pz ... A.K.A - Peter.  pz is the handsome guy on the left  :D ;)  Sharing some great food and stories.  For dinner tonight we had Smoke Gouda Cheese, Salmon Candy (pz) - Smoked Tri-Tip and smoked Johnsonville Brats (smoker pete)  8)  Topped off with fresh Dungeness Crab  ;D   Doesn't get any better than this.  SWMBO and I are thoroughly enjoying pz and his wife's visit to the West Coast.  We're going crabbing again tomorrow!  :)

Here's the smoked tri-tip and brats.  If you haven't had smoke brats you need to try it - they're scrumptious.

Life is good and just keeps getting better - we are truly blessed!!  :)

That is so cool you all got together and in such a great place. The food sounds delicious, but I bet the stories are even better!

I have smoked brats in the BEESR and they were great.  I will have to try smoking them in the pellet grill next time.

I have smoked brats in the BEESR and they were great.  I will have to try smoking them in the pellet grill next time.

Smoked the brats at 190ºF for an hour then bumped the pit temp to 325ºF until the IT reached 170ºF.  They were so juicy and pz was amazed when he saw the smoke ring on the brat  :D  Total time was about 1 hour and 20 minutes ...
