It's what's for dessert
« Reply #-1 on: August 17, 2014, 02:32:07 PM »
Cooked a different kind of dessert on my Traeger today and it was very good.  Some may have seen it before, it's not original to me.

Cheesecake stuffed peaches

6 peaches, halved and pitted
1/4 cup melted butter
3 Tbsp cinnamon sugar
8 oz. crème cheese softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Cinnamon sugar = 3 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon

Take each half and slice a little off the bottom so that peach will lie flat
Dip each half into the melted butter to coat and arrange peach halves, cut side up, on pan
Sprinkle halves with cinnamon sugar and set aside

In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese on medium speed until smooth.  Add sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla.  Beat until combined.  Spoon cheese mixture into peach centers.

Cook at 350* for 30 minutes.

After removing from grill top with caramel and chopped/crushed nuts.

Try it, you might like it.
