Thanksgiving dishes gettin pre-washed!

Nov 27 2014

I was proud of our daughter in law’s Thanksgiving Dinner! For being a vegetarian she had some good turkey breast baked in broth, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn. She had a great veggie tray with dip and other assorted goodies and a pumpkin pie. Her Mother brought a green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a couple of good pies. I took some smoked ham, calico beans, cheese and some smoked pistachios.

My wife, me, our daughter and Tonya’s Mom & Dad all had a great time with Jason, Tonya and Gavin; eating too much good food and visiting. Their dog Macy had a great time too, seeing who all would give her some treats! We get along well with her parents. Her Dad and I were in the service for 8 years about the same time, during the Viet Nam war; he spent three tours there. He was in the Marine Corps and I was USAF.

I had a big plate of food then a piece of caramel & nut apple pie then a little good bourbon after dinner.

While Tonya was ridding up the dishes and getting them in the dishwasher their dog Macy was there to help and set the dishwasher on pre-wash!

Not a great pic but couldn't get one without the reaching hands anyway!

Great looking plate Don.  ;)

My Irish Setter pre washes the dishes in the dishwasher also. I have a Macaw that likes to climb off his cage and comes over to the dishwasher to assist with the unloading.  He climbs to the top rack, picks things up with his beak and tosses them in the air.  I have stand close by and catch what he tosses so it doesn't hit the floor.
