Gentle Giants Canine Cuisine
« Reply #-1 on: February 06, 2015, 06:15:27 PM »
We got a 5 week old German Shepard puppy the day after Christmas. He had Guardia and ringworms something awful. We got that cleared up but he still has some pretty stinky and loose stools. We were feeding Purina Beneful Healthy Growth but still had problems. The other problem we have had is Rocky is a small breed so we were feeding different foods. Until now, we discovered this food at Goodwins and found out that Burt Ward (Robin from Batman) actually created this food 20 years ago for his own dogs. He runs a large breed rescue close to us in the Inland Empire. Bullet's stools have cleared up and he is growing like crazy. This food offers joint support, probiotics (which I have had to buy from the vet) and just plain good stuff to get so many years out of your loved puppy. It is good for puppys up to senior dogs and all breeds. No more separate food bags.

Wendy and I firmly believe in this product. If a market does not carry it near you, it can be obtained directly from Gentle Giants Canine Cuisine website. If you love your pooch, please give this a try...........

My German Sheppard had the same problem. We always tried different foods and ended up with a science diet blend back in the 90's. I miss Max :)

Good Ole Max. He looked like a best friend.  :)  We want our dogs to be around as long as possible and I will gladly go without a brisket or two to provide them with the very best food  8)

Popular commercial dog foods are not so hot. In fact, some use ethoxoqiune (sp) as a preservative and it is bad stuff. Recall we had a 15 year old black lab who was barely able to walk or even bend to do his body function.... I was going away on a business trip and I said to the wife that when I got back I thought it was time. She told me she tried some new food - he was on Science Diet.  When I returned a week later I dreaded what we had to do. I got in and dog came running up to me. She let him out in the yard and he ran around, did what he had to do and came back up the ramp no trouble! Lived another 2 years and did well.

Looks like Gentle Giant is pretty good. Food makes a difference.

I think more on-line outfits are carrying it to Sparky. We are fortunate that Wards rescue operation is close to us, it is in all the local stores round here, on and off the mountain :)

Smoke, my wife got a phone call at work one day, and was surprised when it was Burt Ward calling trying to get his product in the store where she worked.  8)

They carried it for a while.

Pretty interesting history for Burt Ward. My wife has done Dachshund rescue for many years.

My German Sheppard had the same problem.

Beautiful Dog.  I would have guessed Belgian Malinois.

So true, that's the reason our Irish Setter is on a prescription diet that cost $100 for 35lbs of food.
