Chinese Coca Cola Wings
« Reply #-1 on: February 27, 2015, 08:59:54 PM »
Another Pressure Cooker recipe from:  http://peggyunderpressure.com/2011/05/chinese-coca-cola-chicken-wings/.
I modified this recipe.

Ingredients:

3 pounds of wings (I used Drumettes)
2 cups of Coca Cola
¼ Cup Soy Sauce (I used low sodium)
2 TBS Chinese Cooking Wine (I used dry Sherry)
2 TBS Chopped Garlic
2 TBS Green Onion
1 TBS Fresh Ground Pepper
1 TBL Chopped Ginger (the recipe did not call for this, I added it)
1 TSP of Chinese Five Spice (the recipe did not call for this, I added it)

Put in pressure cooker, cook on high for 15 minutes.  When time is up, release pressure.  Remove wings from cooker.
Ladle out half of the sauce.  Add 2 TBL of butter and 2 TBL of flour to remaining sauce.  Let thicken, then put chicken
back in to get coated.

My plate with some boxed fried rice.

Sorry no action shots tonight. I wasn't even planning on posting this but they came out so good I thought I would
share the recipe.

I haven't tried anything frozen yet Pam. But my instructions also say add 10 minutes to cook time.

Bookmarked. I think your mods to the recipe are perfect!

The only issue I see is:
Quote
Ladle out half of the sauce.  Add 2 TBL of butter and 2 TBL of flour to remaining sauce.

WHAT???  ???   I don't think so!!!    That sauce looks WAY too good to not thicken, and eat ALL of it.  ;D

Do I hear an "Amen" from Hub on this?

Thank YOU for sharing!
