Our veggie daughter in law grilled chicken kabobs! We were invited down to the sons this afternoon for a late lunch. Her parents had been in Cincinnati for a VFW convention and stopped in too. We get along with them real well. Her Dad was in the USMC for 8 years about the same time I was in the USAF; he did three tours in Viet Nam. He and his wife are heavy into the VFW; he is commander of a post in Toledo.
Sorry I didn’t get any pics but her chicken kabobs were great and thought some may want to try it. She had chicken cut in 1 ½ inch squares and marinated them in a little olive oil, lemon juice and Za’atar. They tasted great! She did them on a Weber grill. She also made veggie kabobs, 3 colored peppers, onions and tomatoes, a cucumber onion salad, and potato salad. She cooked a great meal and I was proud of her. My wife had baked an almost better than sex cake and we took watermelon and grapes and some strawberry short cake for dessert.
We had a great time visiting and eating some good food!
