Took a road trip with the in-laws
« Reply #-1 on: August 29, 2015, 07:58:27 PM »
Kimmie and I took her parents out for a road trip to Fort Payne Alabama.    It's about an hour and a half from my house up in the hills near Georgia .   While we were there my mother in-law said "Lets drive by Randy Owens house"   Randy Owens is the lead singer for the country Group Alabama and Kimmie and her mom are big fans of theirs..

Well, after looking around we found his place and talked about how good the group is and now they are going to release a new CD very soon.   Well as we drove by the second time guess who was standing near the gate?

Yep,   Mr. Owens and his wife were right at the gate waving to us as we passed  :D.   So Kimmie's mom said turn around and les say HI.  Well we did and I could not believe how nice they were.

He had just returned from a QVC show he did last night and was worn out, but he still smiled said I'd love to take a picture but I don't have the gate remote so they took it through the bars.

All I can say is Randy and his wife were as nice as anyone could be, even worn out from a trip he still was as nice and took pictures with them

I have met many famous people but none as nice as Randy Owens ...

  Thanks for making Kimmie's day!!!!!!  ;) :D :D :D :D :D :D

Lookout Mountain is much cooler than the rest of Alabama, they actually have 4 different seasons.
