DIRTY BLANKET CHICKEN

I like starting with a few 5-6 chickens,
I grab about half stick of butter and spead it in and out of the whole bird. I then use our Dill seasoning/dip mix and sprinkle all over in and out more out then in. I finish with fresh ground pepper on the outside.

I put in our pellet grill using our 100% Hickory pellets for 4-5 hours at 225 or until you hit 170 internal breast temp and a nice golden brown.

When done I pull the birds off the rest for maybe 5 minutes. Now the fun starts.... I remove the outer skin in large pieces maybe 2-3 total and place in a bowl. Then I pull the chicken meat and place in same bowl with skin (Dirty Blanket). Then I mix all the meat with the skin, pretty briskly, so you get all that outer skin seasoning off and onto the meat! It takes me about 3-5 minutes. I then remove the skin and throw it away! Leaving an awesome smoky flavor extra on the meat!
