What is the weather like where you are at Mike?  We had a rainy cold front move through So-Cal on Thursday...is it headed your way to cool things off a bit??

It's because you have the Black Thermapen, You should have gotten teal :) I hope it's something simple with the AC and they don't charge you a arm and a leg. Make the ServiceTech wear a party hat while he does the work, tell him its part of the 89 bucks ;D ;D

Mike just put a tray of ice in front of your return air intake for your FAU. Well it works for cooling down a Bradley cabinet :D

Ok back in my corner now ::)

LOL! $249.00. For about 30 minutes worth of work. Some dual capacitor went  bad outside.

He was telling me that the new technology is awesome. Didn't try to sell me anything. I asked. Told me his bills run $80/month in the summer months vs $200 plus. He has the set up at his house. $10,000 plus. OUCH!!

They have multi stage compressors now that adjust the amount of electricity used according to the temp in the house. As it get's closer to the set temp it will decrease the power being used by the compressor and will maintain a constant cool temp. Very efficient but also very expensive.

Mike it would take years to make up the difference in the unit cost per energy savings. Wait 5 years and it will be a standard system and much cheaper.
