I like it, I only belong to a couple of forums and luckily both of them are very good. One is vendor related but not pushy at all. I have visited several other forums and they do tend to bash each other on some of them. I belong to several cooking groups on the Yahoo groups format but rarely visit them anymore.

THANK YOU is not enough....

But it is because of YOU - OUR FORUM MEMBERS that everything we have done - and will do - is possible.

And...frankly, just reading this thread makes it ALL worthwhile ;D

I set out to create not just a "forum" - but the real feeling of a neighborhood on the web, where everyone regardless of what they cook on - or what brands of seasoning/sauces they use - is WELCOME. A place where no one has to feel any concern about starting  a thread or posting a reply for fear of "breaking a rule" ( Hey - we do this for FUN...too many rules = NO FUN - right?) or maybe that ONE guy would make you feel stupid - about something in your thread or comments. ( Flatly - I am proud to say we don't have anyone here that has ever done this on LTBBQ - and I really want to keep our hang-out that friendly. :) )

My job is easy....do a little dusting and cleaning, and stay the heck out of the way - and maybe even post a cook when I can, offer advice if I have any when it is asked for, and always defer to YOU guys as the real reason that we even have LTBBQ, and the amount of experience here is vast.....I am extremely happy with how many really well experienced folks have joined us and become key contributors.

So, to Sparky - as the OP - and to all of you that have and will comment on this thread the thanks is really to YOU.
Keep the grate hot!
