Has anyone tried these? Is there a big difference compared to your usual store bought?

Not tried personally, read of others who have. IIRC it's a heritage breed. Raised well with good feed the cuts tend to be a little larger, fattier and more flavorful than regular mass produced pork.

I thought about trying a pack and see how they are. $44 for two racks...they're about $6 more a pound than the usual ones I get around my area

Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

I'm still working on the 3 dozen racks I bought at Publix for $1.99 lb.
I'm sure that they're great tasting ribs, but it would be hard for me to spend 4 times as much.
If anyone does try them, though, I'd be very curious about the result.
