Great video Tom! I have 2 of the Vortex's. What I like about it it you don't have to turn your chicken or whatever you are cooking. It cooks very even and I have seen no need to turn anything. If you like a wood flavor to your cook than you can put a chunk or 2 of wood directly on the grate above the Vortex or on top of the lit coals. It seems to work a lot better with the wood on top of the grate. Just a few friendly tips.
I do like munching on drumsticks on race and football Sundays and yours look great.
We use the Vortex here at Backyard Jack's BBQ in Byron. I really enjoy the versatility as you pointed out, using it in the Weber Kettle.Thanks to this video I'll be expanding its use to the Akorn. Thanx for sharing.
