Nice, but I have a bunch of these that are reusable, more like real oyster shells and can be served individually. SOS, Stainless Oyster Shells.

Looks like they really are for 2 different purposes - so...I need both! ;D

The Sur la Table pan is for half shell oysters...and the SOS are used for oysters that have ben completely shucked...and as you show them Cajun...with some great additional ingredients. ;)

Thanks! You don't need a pan to grill oysters on the half shell. The shells themselves are the pan. Restaurants here grill oysters on the half shell and it actually makes them taste better. Yes, for those who can't get fresh unshucked oysters the SOS is ideal.
It's probably time for me to grill some oysters now that I think about it. ;D

Just an idea and some may prefer to use a pan! :) There is more than one way to shuck an oyster! :) Don

I agree about grilling in the shell but sometimes it's easier to get them already shucked(I usually get them by the gallon)or they may not be easily available in the shell.

I usually just shuck them and eat them raw but with some health warnings lately I do grill them on the half shell. Pretty simple I just use some Parmesan  and maybe a jalapeno slice.

Ken I spent a night in the emergency room after eating raw oysters.
Now always steamed in it's own container for me.  Well and Oyster Rockefeller
