Man this was some good BBQ.

In Calahan, FL

The slaw and beans are homemade and really good as the butt is.

Boy that looks good. I always find it amusing and annoying when some places give you this tiny little cup of slaw and beans as a side. Yours look legitimate and excellent.

Look like some good BBQ!  Good thing the wheels were off the cooker or Rick would have towed that puppy home!

I know people who would not eat anything they thought was cooked in that pit. They see nasty, I see well seasoned and that they have cooked on it enough to know what they are doing. Yumm.

I would prefer a well seasoned pit and a hand written menu over anything I have seen in NorCal. Everyone out here hates the Carolina Mustard Sauce, but I love it! When traveling the southern states, I liked the places that stated the closing time as "when it's gone". That's a smart way to control costs and have a fresh product every day.
