Capt. Jack, as a former student U of H you might remember their great Center and NBA all time top 50 and Hall of fame player Elvin Hayes, as may many others here in our age.  Friday his son Elvin Jr. Became a pellet smoker with the purchase of Dan Boone Remote from me.  He is a minister in Visalia Ca.

Smoker Pete, I remember those days of no Coors well from my 18 months at Ft. Bragg.  If you went home on leave to the West, it was just expected that you would return with your suit case full of Coors.  And to put that price Pete mentions here in perspective for some of you younger smokers, a six pack of Coors only cost about $1.35!!  OH, and as a private in the Army at that time, I was making $106 a month, so $12 would have been over 10% of my monthly Salary!!  But you know we paid a premium to get it when someone had some..

As for me in (75) I was  3 years out of the Army and had progressed from pushing wheel barrels and shoveling cement  on one of my Dads Plastering crews to actually spreading it on the walls.  Two years later got my own License and started my own business and built it up to where I was building the whole home and then started developing Real Estate was well on my way to being a millionaire I was sure and then the market turned and I pretty much lost everything.  Well, there's more after that, but now I just sell Pellet Grills and Pellets and might Truck a little every once in awhile ..

Let's see.  1975.  I was two years out of the Navy and submarines, working full-time for a company that supported various submarine training programs, going to school at night and trying to help raise our son.  Ah, the good old days.  Don't miss them a bit!!
