I used to tournament fight black belt when I was younger. My buddies came up with that on a play of my last name. Would bring some funny looks when they would yell it out before a match.

First three letters of my last name.  A nickname that all his buddies called my dad.  Short, easy and quick to type.  Available on most forums and boards.

Gordon HUBbell

Spelled differently than the telescope guy but we are very distantly related.  If you are a baseball fan I am 2nd cousin to Carl (great Giants pitcher of long ago).  My dad used to catch for him at family gatherings when they were kids and described it as a brutal experience -- never knew where the ball would be.

There are three things that I know anything about... baseball, guitar and BBQ.  The name comes from a baseball player in the late 1800s, "Sliding" Billy Hamilton.

Started using 'smoker pete' in 2007 when I joined the Bradley Smoker forum ... The name has been available to me over the years in all the other forums ... Not much imagination - Name is Peter and I smoke meat!

Only a couple of these that I knew about.
The others were cool to find out about.

Don't forget to make plans to attend the cookout at the end of September here in Byron.

You'll be able to sit around with a lot of these guys and swap lies whilst watching the smokers and grills.

Bamabob,  pretty self explanatory,  My name is Bob and I have lived in Alabama for almost 11 years.
Most think I'm a UAB fan thus Bamabob.  I am, but I wasn't when first moving here and chose the name.  Chose the name to distinguish between my former residence in the Cincinnati area.
BuckeyeBob became Bamabob.
