So my baked bean recipe is pretty easy and everywhere I take it, it's a hit. I used to hate baked beans when I was younger, but I can eat these as a whole meal! Give it a try:
In a 13 x 9 in glass baking dish, combine the below ingredients, mix well and bake at 375 covered for 60 min and then 10 add'l minutes uncovered. Easy as beans!
1 can of garbanzo beans/chickpeas (drained, rinsed)
1 can of black beans (drained, rinsed)
1 can of red kidney beans (drained, rinsed)
1 can of pinto beans (drained, rinsed)
1 can of pork & beans (with sauce)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup of ketchup (you can do 3/4 ketchup & 1/4 bbq sauce)
12 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 cup of onion (flash cooked in bacon grease)
That's it....could be easier and the texture of the different beans is "slawesome."
