I boycott the NFL every week cuz I just don't care. And the recent crap only confirms my opinion.

I know everybody hates the Cowboy's. But evidently Jerry Jones said that if you are not standing with your hand on your heart. You are riding the bench. Good for him.

I never had much respect for Dallas until Jones said this, the other owners could also man-up and stop this crap.  Still freedom of speech,  but now they  have a choice.....stand.... or sit (you probably were anyway).

Part of what makes this country great is that everyone has freedom of speech and freedom to protest in whatever manner one chooses (as long as it is a legal manner) without government interference . However, what this country doesn't have, nor should it, is freedom from the consequences of your free speech actions.

So I believe that Colin and others have the right, and should have the right, to protest whatever they want, however they want, as long as it is legal. And the government should leave them alone.

But they and their supporters should not complain when people like me react and use our free speech right and "protest" their actions with boycotts, sitting their butt on the bench etc..

I will now step off my soap box
Why couldn't Noah have swatted the 2 mosquitoes?.

Yeah I agree everyone has the right to voice their opinion.  However the caveat of "on their own time" needs to be added.  They are paid mega bucks to play football, not make political or social statements.   And I also agree that I and other like minded people can likewise voice our opinions vocally and with our wallets (or TV clickers as some suggested).  Say want you want, but your actions might well have consequences for you and your team.

And what does more for the "cause"? Being a #$% and disrespecting a majority of the public and the actual history that even lets you voice an opinion on TV, or actually doing something for the community and making a change for the better instead of having a "look at me" moment in the media?  What you do when the cameras are not on and no one is looking says a hell of a lot more about your character than that 15 minutes of fame.

Passing the soap box to the next speaker....

If I catch someone not standing for the flag, I would make sure they wouldn't stand again.......and I can back it up.

You respect the Flag for what it stands for and you no way ever disrespect the great men and women that fought and fought and died to give you the opportunity to kneel or sit.......which makes you a giant pile of dung if you choose to.

Get the F@@@ out of our great country and never come back >:(

Sorry, not very moderator like, but I am really tired of this crap.

Not too many things get under my skin these days, but this does................
