Happy Thanksgiving, every body. And, unless 12/21 goes out with a bang, Merry Christmas, too!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends on the LTBBQ forum! There will be only the two of here this year. Our kids have been far flung for years and it has been a long time since we have had all three of them at home for the holidays and this year none of them will make it.

For several years we would hold a Thanksgiving lunch at a pub a friend of mine owned. The pub was not open but a few couiples would cook up a massive spread and we would invite the pub customers who would have otherwise be having a Thanksgiving day alone to come in and eat with us. We started out calling it The Unloved And Alone Thanksgiving but after the first couple of years it became The Much Loved Thanksgiving. He sold the pub last year so I will miss that tradition but I am also looking forward to a quiet day at home and talking to the kids on the phone.

Since I work in retail, I will have to work on Black Friday, but at least Academy Sports hasn't made the move to stay open on Thanksgiving Day or open that night.

Have a great Turkey day 2-pockets and take care on Black Friday. I still feel funny every time I walk through the doors at Wal-Mart Porter Ranch...(they had a riot there last black friday and you have to pass thru the section that we all watched on TV in utter disbelief...)

I want this to be simple and clear:

I am thankful for all of you. LTBBQ has only become the special place that it is BECAUSE OF YOU!

May everyone have a warm and joy filled Thanksgiving.
