I think the first half belonged to Alabama. And - tho he will be really good...I don't think that the QB of AL is what they are used to. He is a heck of a tailback when running the ball, but lacks sorely in the passing game. Which, is a testament to the other talent and coaching - because they had not lost a single game all year.
Clemson, much better passing game - and their defense was spotty - but almost as good as Alabama. It looked like the momentum turned on one play, and then Clemson really began to play like they believed they could win.
But again - in the 1st quarter - Alabama's defensive was so dominate - it looked like it was going to be a blowout.
Thanks to BOTH teams for providing a true crescendo in college football. And - that Dabo Swinney being an Alabama alumnus....just made for another interesting twist in all of it.
