Seen that a few weeks looks good but not sure till I have a hand on it to see how well it's built

I'm betting it built like the double chef smoker and I bet it's not very thick as far as side walls like the Weber is

I was actually shocked at the price! I thought they would go for the gold and have it at $500.00. Instead it's only $50.00 more than the original Akorn. Like you said still needs to be seen and tested. I'll give it try if they send it my way

Until I can do some touch and feel this Kamado will be on the back burner.
I did like the Akorn except for the removable bottom which leak air.

I still like it for the price, I just cook on it with everything just about closed all the way and it works great!

I like this new design. The ashes come out through the top instead of the bottom. The bottom cap unscrews if you happen to get water inside. Should have no air leakage. A nice folding shelf. For $50 more it's a great deal.

I agree.  There's some real innovation here.  Need a good reviewer to take it through its paces to see if they messed anything up while they were fixing all the problems other cookers have.

I do like the changes from the Akorn soI guess for me anyway it is how well it is built becasue I sure would not thinner sides than the Akorn.
