Ok so time to open the box up and get the first cook in. As others have stated the PBC is very well packaged.
Came with the hooks, hook grabber, two bottles of PBC rubs, and instructions. Hooks are heavy duty and appear to be well made...
Heavy duty charcoal basket sized for the cooker and holds a small bag of kingsford(included)...
Welded feet of the charcoal basket...
Here is the barrel stand. It is well made but not large enough IMHO. With the barrel on the stand it did not feel steady. The stand should have a wider stance than the barrel so it does not feel like the barrel could be knocked over. I have mine right on the concrete so no big deal...
The lid is lightweight and fits well onto the barrel. Has a horseshoe handle that feels solid, centered, and welded on...
Inside of the barrel. So pretty! Not for long! Barrel is quality made and the powder coating is really nice on the exterior. Looks like it will hold up to high temps...
And the interior grate for stuff you cannot hang. Seems to be solid and has a nice fit to the barrel...
Now for a couple whole chickens...
Spatched and liberally coated with the PBC All Purpose Pit Rub...
Into the firdge for a 20 minute air dry...
Flame on...
Hook em and cook em...
igrill pit probe in place...
After 20 minutes charcoal is ready and in they go...
igrill on watch...
Should be done shortly
