Pile of Spare ribs with Hard cider sprtiz
« Reply #-1 on: August 27, 2018, 08:08:55 AM »
Had Kimmie's family over for ribs (her mom loves ribs)  so decided to use my homemade rub and spritz with Hard Apple Cider (Angry Orchard brand)  het mom HATES beer so we won't tell her  ;)

I placed then on the RecTec set temp top 250 to start let them go 1 hr then turned, after I turned them I went another hr and added some more rub.  After 3 hrs had gone by I added a little more rub and spritz with hard cider.      Turned again at 4 hrs in raised temp to 275 then another spritz of hard cider.    by the 5th hr all were done except two real fatty ones so left then on for a few more while I pulled the others off and into a holder till eating time.

Kimmie's mom loves these and that's all that matters ;)

Thanks for the details of the cook, Tommy.   Those are great lookin' ribs.

Just to be sure...you cut them all apart before cooking?

Yes just cut each rib then pile them up and cook.  Make sure to move them around every hour and if need be add rub so all sides are covered
OH, and spritz them ! ;) ;)

I like it, Tommy!  This is one of my favorite ways to cook ribs.

I always put them into a bowl with some half strips of bacon and rub, toss everything together, then onto the grill/smoker.  The bacon is a nice little side treat!
