Spam - long time listener, first time caller
« Reply #-1 on: September 01, 2018, 08:29:33 AM »
So after reading all the stuff about Spam on this forum, I decided to try some.  Yesterday, after 48+ years on this planet, I had my first taste of Spam.  I bought a can each of original and hickory, and I decided to start with the hickory.  Took me a few tries to get it out of the can but once I did, I cut off a slice.  It was tasty.  Decided to make some breakfast for dinner.  Scrambled up some eggs and made a Spam, egg, and cheese burrito.  I was very pleased with the taste and will definitely be adding Spam to my rotation of breakfast meats.

Glad you liked it!

Took me a few tries to get it out of the can...

Spam tip:  If you punch a small hole in the bottom of the can (with an ice pick or sharp knife) it'll break the seal and the Spam slides right out!

Spam is great.  Smoked, grilled, pan fried, sushi, baked.  Cut it up to throw in noodle dishes, scrambled eggs.  Really good mixed in cut up with mac & cheese and onions baked.  Oh man.  I buy it by the case from Costco.
