There has been a lot of talk recently about the Turtles grumpiness etc.
I have met Paul & I want you to know he's not like that!
As long as there are attractive women around him he's a perfect gentleman  ;D

I like Turtle, I've been called a curmudgeon myself. Grumpy Old Men is one of my favorite movies.

Ahhh you had to post his picture didn't you!! Thought he was just a fat old grumpy turtle:

Now I would have no problem sharing a bottle of crown royal whiskey with him.

Of course you wouldn't; I'm smart enough and discerning enough not to drink rye or rye blends so you'd have it to yourself.  A decent bottle of Scotch, however, would be an entirely different matter.

LA - I'll deal with you in New Orleans.  Tell the lovely Ms. T to make sure the insurance premiums are paid up.

The rest of you -

Whoever said anything nice ought to think about it for a bit and then just shut up before your noses grow and nothing else ever does.

Whoever didn't was at least honest but probably ought to shut up anyway (before I start looking through your personnel files).

All I want to know is what YOU ( Turtle ) and LA did to bribe such lovely women to pose with you in that picture above.....were they vision impaired?

I was my usual charming self.  It helped that (along with their mother's good looks) they inherited bad judgement from their father.

muebe - Try Abelour a'bunadh (cask strength, about $55).  It's the best bottle of Scotch under $100 out there.

Pappy - Nothing wrong with a little of the uisge baugh.

Tommy - Be careful what you ask for.

sparky - Growing up in the South I drank so much really bad (cheap) bourbon as a teen that by the time I was able to drink legally I couldn't stand the sight of it.  Still can't but have some in the closet for guests & cooking (Knob Creek & Maker's).

For a speyside scotch - i agree with Turtle. But, sometimes I really want an Islay or a really peat rich, smoky scotch....
