Seems like this is the official announcement with pricing. Meathead has a write-up as well today but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Sorry about that.

Weber's website. The SmokeFire grills come in two sizes, 24 and 36 inches, and they're priced at $1,149.99 and $1,399.99 respectively.

I'd like to see it in action.

They took their time and did a good job with the Summit, even if it was way too high for me to consider.  So I'm thinking they did the same with this one.

Here is a link to Meatheads write-up. Looks like pricing will likely be a bit less then I stated. I'll be interested to see one in person

Watched and read a few reviews on this new grill. Seems to be a miss by Weber in a few areas. Like Ash and grease control. Some unhappy people out there.

Yep! Baby Back Maniac is not real happy at this time with his, although I agree with him to keep going with it to be sure

Shame, I had big hopes for this one.

One main issue is the grease control which is more like a gas grill not a pellet grill.  Improvment needed

I have read some write ups on Lowes where people have returned theirs after a couple of cooks.

biggest complaint has been no smoke flavor whatsoever.

It is early in the game, and Weber is involved, lets see how it fares when more pits are shipped out

"IF" I could buy a returned unit for say half price I would THEN I'd fix the issues which seem to be a few.

Weber had time so not sure why these thins were over looked by them?

Seen this as well

I watched "Everyday Barbecue" right after watching Weber's YouTube presentation.
I think the guy did a good job of showing the pros and CONS in a non-aggressive way.  If I ahd been in his shoes, I would have been in full-blown rant mode.

Weber has a lot of work to do on this grill.

Been slow at work so I have been able to watch a few more videos on this grill.    I hate to say but it's not looking good for Weber right now  :o

With the way folks are sending these back to Lowes it won't be long before there is a recall for the issues.     I would NOT want to be in Webers attorneys shoes right now !

TRUE!   :D

Just bad that Weber didn't look into this better than they did or tried to make this into something it can't be :o

I watched his video as well and it was very balanced. But no way would I try an overnight cook with that thing until Weber makes it right.
