Saying goodby to "Grasshopper"
« Reply #-1 on: March 23, 2020, 09:01:10 AM »
Saturday was busy around the house trying to get things done and I took 3 cars in for service and wound up making a trade for one of them (I own 4 cars and 2 trucks at the moment) A friend of mine wrecked is car so since I need major work done on my Acura $$$$ wise I traded a car for parts and labor ;)

Although Kimmie is upset we are getting rid of "GrassHopper" her 99 Honda Accord 5 speed.  She loves that car but it's time to let it go.   This car has been to Jack's backyard cookout and all over the South. This car has over 300k on it and still can balance a nickel on the motor at idle

Anyway, she was in dull mood and wanted home cooking so she made a big pot of pintos, sweet corn and her famous cornbread.  Not exactly on my low carb eating plan but hey who am I to turn down oints and cornbread ;)

Some of the best she has ever made, nice and rich and full of flavor!!

Grasshopper name comes from a friend of ours who ran a lawn care called Grasshopper lawn service and it was green so it fit

IF we weren't on state lockdown, I would be there, too.
