Tried Something Different Tonight
« Reply #-1 on: July 29, 2020, 08:05:55 PM »
First of all, there are NO PICTURES!

I was thinking outside the box when I decided that I would like some lemon flavored wings.  I grilled some wings on my new MAK.  Started at 275 and then bumped them to 375 about 30 minutes into the cook.  I used lemon pepper and a touch of salt for my seasoning.  When the wings were ready, I basted them in Giada's chicken piccata sauce and served them.  They were really good!  Not too much lemon flavor, either.

We did need, however, extra paper towels.  They were that good!!

Sounds good to me!

Reminds me of when I was a kid...... Like 48 years ago(Wow! Never thought I'd say something like that. Lol.....) My sister's boyfriend would pick up a bucket full of fried chicken wings from the place called "Dixie Chicken & Ribs" and go to her apartment and eat them with Lemon and Pepper seasoning which was pretty darn good. You could get a ton of wings for cheap back then.
That place is still open today but it has had several owners since back then. And they don't even have wings on the menu today.
