A Little Roast, Rice & Gravy
« Reply #-1 on: November 04, 2020, 08:09:35 PM »

Haven't been cooking much here really. Sort of in one of those low moods for a few days. My wife's sister has had heart, liver and kidney issues since about July 4th of this year. She lived in Arizona and because of Covid she was only allowed one visitor and that was her husband, This past weekend she was placed in hospice and my wife was set to leave today to go see her but we got that dreaded call at 1:00 Tuesday morning. She passed away. So that didn't make cooking any more enjoyable. I was supposed to cook this meal yesterday but didn't feel up to it.

I seasoned and stuffed a little roast with garlic earlier today and put it to braise on the stovetop for a few hours. Dinner was roast, rice & gravy, baby lima beans with bacon and baked sweet potatoes.
