This is my test photo loaded from Googles Picasa. Be loged in to LTBBQ and where you want the photo click on the little icon, bottom left, (insert image). In another tab log in to your Picasa and from an album select the photo you want and view. Click on the link to photo and it will give you two windows, Link and embed image. and a select size, for this photo I used large 800 pixels. Check the box that says image only (no Link) so it has a check mark in it. Click to hi-lite the embed image and do control C to copy. Go to your LTBBQ tab and do a control V to paste and it should appear between the [img][img].
If this is not OK with admin, someone let me know. Smokin Don

All that plus uploading to picasa. As a rule I will have 10 photos on a post. To much work for me. I usually do my posts in MS word and copy and paste. Will give it a try but I have my doubts.

Don, Thank you!

I just learned something; I never realized that option worked that easily and I've been using Picasa for over three years!

Here's what Don's talking about:

Note: This option is on the Picasa Website, where your photo albums live, and NOT the Picasa software (Rick is right the software sucks).

And, if you want you can still further tweek the scaling to whatever size you want by simply changing this part of the link/IMG code (in red):

[lMG]https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kezzhKZmM2c/Tj9KTGy0AQI/AAAAAAAABZM/xl9UdCVjFNQ/s800/SomePhoto.JPG[/lMG]

/s800/  = 800 pixels maximum

/s640/ = 640 pixels maximum

/s500/ = 500 pixels maximum

...and so on.

Thanks Don!

Thanks to you TH for showing it better than I explained it. I think you may have to select these options with each loadind session but once they are selected it's just a matter of seleting next or previous photo. With tabs open for both sites it goes pretty fast. Don

I can't necessarily say it's "better," but the website is fairly straight forward to use and the multi-photo uploader is quick and easy, provided your photos aren't huge. The bigger the file-size, the longer your uploads will take.

Keep in mind, we're talking about using the Picasa website as a photo host site, NOT the Picasa software.  You do not need the Picasa software at all!

A quick note about upload speeds (if anyone cares about technical stuff):  Most of us are using either a Cable Internet connection or ADSL (Asymmetric DSL).  With these connections, your upload speeds are always much slower than download speeds.  Only with a T1 line or SDSL (Symmetric DSL) will you get faster upload speeds.

You can test your download/upload speeds here:  http://www.broadbandreports.com/speedtest

To get accurate results, pick the nearest location to you and be sure you are not using your Internet connection for ANYTHING else while testing.
