We didn't cook. We had reservations at The Old School Diner. Chef Jerome has been on food network and is said to have served over 1 million.

Looks like hey don't get out huh. Yes the drive and parking lot is carpeted  :D

Just inside

Being we were the 1st ones to have made reservations we got to eat in Ben's room (yes Ben Affleck) who eats here 4-5 times a year.

This is Ben's table in front of the fireplace. He autographed a chair that everyone wants to sit in.

Here is the chair. They had to put it on the wall cuz everyone wants to sit in it.

BTW Chef Jerome is the only one doing all the cooking.

Free V-Day wine for my wife.

Comp hushpuppys for every table (these were awesome) 6 HP and i ate 5

Anyways

I ordered the grouper and shrimp.

My wife got the shrimp platter

I no can finish

Desert banana cheese cake.

Following are pics from the different rooms.

The teachers rooms. Chefs wife was a teacher.

This is the main dining room where the bar and bands play. Soul and blues.

Outside entrance

Wife's Miata parked on carpet

(god help me but I do love their Pasta Fagoli soup)

Have to admit, I am a sucker for that soup as well. Have tried to make it at home - good, but not the same. So, when my wife and girls want to go, I put up a token fight, then go along and just eat the soup and salad! And breadsticks...  :P ;D

We will be celebrating V-Day tomorrow evening.  I had a meeting tonight that had me out for most of the evening.  I have two nice lobster tails.  After reading CB's post, I may just give his recipe a try.  It really tickled my palate.  I'll report after tomorrow night's dinner, with pictures.

Thanks Key for the pictures!  They brought back memories of my fathers cooking years ago.   Great job!
