Camp Chef Dutch Oven Dome No-Knead Crusty Bread

Before going camping this Summer I decided to see if I could bake a Dutch Oven No-Knead Crusty Bread using my Camp Chef 2 Burner stove, a 5 qt Enameled Dutch Oven, and the Dutch Oven Dome.  I like to clip the Maverick ET-732 Ambient Temperature Probe to the inside of the Dome to monitor the Dome temperature which is regulated by tweaking the propane in the Low to Medium-Low setting ... Success!!! ... Preheated the Dome and Dutch Oven to 450ºF for 30 minutes.  Baked the bread at 450ºF for 30 minutes with the lid on, took the lid off and baked for another 15 minutes.  The bread IT was 190ºF.

   

No more buying bread on the road  :)

It's your typical No-Knead dough recipe TH ...

No-Knead Crusty Bread Dough Ingredients:
 •3 cups of bread or multipurpose flour
 •1 ¾ tsp salt
 •½ tsp instant yeast
 •1 ½ cups warm water (~90ºF)
 
In a large bowl combine flour, yeast and salt. Add 1 ½ cups water, and stir until blended; dough will be shaggy and sticky. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let dough rest at least 12 hours, preferably about 18, at warm room temperature, about 70 degrees.  Dough is ready when its surface is dotted with bubbles. Lightly flour a work surface and place dough on it; sprinkle it with a little more flour and fold it over on itself once or twice. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest about 15 minutes.

Pop it into a 450ºF preheated (30 minutes) dutch oven ... bake covered for 30 minutes ... uncover and bake another 15 minutes till bread IT reaches 190ºF

The great thing about those No-Knead mixes are that they are welcome to your own mix of garlic, cheese, onion, japs or whatever your heart desires. with that long rise time flavors will have a better chance to mingle than your average 1 to 2 hour rise. This stuff gets more folk's interested in baking bread, and that's a good thing!
