Beef sandwich w/German beer mustard
« Reply #-1 on: March 24, 2013, 01:43:44 AM »
Mar 23 2013

I am still busy getting everything back to normal after getting all new carpet. Today I finally got my AV receiver hooked up and the surround sound working. Hooking that thing up was no easy task especially for a 71 year old w/bifocals. Our entertainment cabinet is a large armoire and the compartments are not very large. It is hard for me to see to get all the wires hooked up; 5 speaker wires, and a subwoofer plus a few other cables. I was doing a little praying, my nice way of saying I was swearing!

I am still not back to my normal cooking routine; and seeing all the great posts in here has me drooling every day! I wanted to do some brats today to try my Spicy German beer mustard on but my wife is just getting over stomach flu so she was eating left over chicken & noodles.

I didn’t want to fire up the smoker to fix brats for just myself; so I rummaged through my frozen stash and found a package of thin sliced beef eye of round to have. There was almost enough for two sandwiches but would make one for me!

I didn’t have any good buns so I toasted some whole wheat bread, heated up the beef and topped it with the mustard and some dill pickles. That was a good sandwich and the beer mustard is one I will be using a lot.

The mustard

NICE looking sandwich. Im not big on pickles but the mustard looks awesome.  I'm a mustard lover and had the best mustard in Germany last September on a super thin sliced ham sandwich from a local corner market.
Nutin better then Hard Wood!
