For any Houston area folks interested...

HEB has whole packers for $0.99/lb.  There is a limit of 1 per $20 purchase.   They had a bunch to pick from last night in Atascocita store.

Local grocer has boston butts at $.99 a lb...nice and lean, good marbling...8 to 10 lb avg.  The package them there, in the store.

We bought 3 of them today at the HEB Plus in Pearland. Did 3 separate transactions to get three of them

Dang!  I need to check with the Waxahachie store (I don't see it in the weekly ad on the site).  I will be just far enough south of Dallas Monday morning to warrant a trip down before heading home.
