Some of you may remember Rocky from a previous forum. She has been my cooking buddy for several years, but she is moving into her teen years...
Today, I suggested we have pancakes for lunch. She explained in her own terms just how stupid that was. I cut up a fresh muskmelon - it was very sweet. I suggested that this would be a great addition to some pancakes. Rocky told me to buy blueberries.
An hour later she showed up in my office with some muskmelon pancakes - and just to prove the nut doesn't fall far from the tree - she grilled the muskmelon! They were great!
When I went upstairs and commented on pancakes for lunch - she pointed out the time and said it was "linner" and that was ok...
Whatever the term or time, these were really good. Just some normal pancake batter and some grilled muskmelon chunks mixed in.
