lol

pz - well said, and the rest of the comments echo what makes this such a great place to hang out. I just don't have time to spend on a lot of forums, and decided to find one place to hang my hat. For all the reasons mentioned above and more, LTBBQ fits that bill perfectly. Thank you to T and to everyone on the forum for the sharing attitude and all the great stuff I learn. My family sure appreciates it!

Here's an example from a pizza site:

Quote
It seems like I've been coming to this site off and on for nearly ten years, but I've never joined.  I'm very impressed with the dedication to great pizza making on the site, and I look forward to learning more from those willing to share their experience.

Thank you to the site founder(s) and all the rest!

Not a single response to his introductory post. This poor chap registered in 2011, made this single post and never posted again.

Without a doubt this is one of the best forums on the web.

I'm a "professional" chef, cookbook author and food writer as many of you know. The information and companionship here is unbelievable. This forum is like a big extended family with everyone taking care of each other.

When I lost my dog last week it was unbelievable the number of kind and thoughtful responses I received even though it had nothing to do about BBQ or cooking.

I wish I could meet each and every member and shake their hand to say hello and thank you.

If any members get up to Cape Cod, you have an open invitation to come over to my humble abode and say hello. I might even have some BBQ to share!

I can't be bothered with any other forums... this is the only place I hang out anymore. Time is limited and this place feels like family.

X2, There is nothing out there as good as this site and the kind folks who are members here,  so I have no interest in spending time elsewhere.
