Oktoberfest!
« Reply #-1 on: September 28, 2013, 11:53:34 PM »
One of our local delicatessens puts on an annual Oktoberfest complete with good beer and good food.  Unfortunately it was raining today, but the beer and food was stellar!

I let my sweetie use my best stein - the brat was smothered in sauerkraut and caramelized onions. Sides were German potato salad and red cabbage

Here's our bartender

My sweetie was in costume - the stein I was using is to the right - extra dark and rich beer for me.  Good food and good times.

Looks like you two had a great time  PZ!  Good company, good food, good beer, and autumn in the air. What could be better than that?

Looks like some good Beers and fun. My wife and I met at the Local watering hole 25 years ago, we stopped in there about 6 months ago for a steak lunch and a beer.

There is a big party in New Braunfels every year to celebrate Octoberfest. Unfortunately, I won't be able to celebrate it this year. And, then they have "Wustfest". http://wurstfest.com/ This takes place in November.

Who knows, maybe, I'll be on a cane by then.

Thanks for the kind comments, all - so true about the rain - doesn't matter as long as there is good food and good company  ;)
