Chicken and Dumplings
« Reply #-1 on: October 06, 2013, 05:42:57 PM »
Rainy and cool weekend in Minnesota. Long suffering asked me to make Chicken and Dumplings. I figure I owe it to her......I can be a bit of a handful. ;D

Wife and 10 year old tax deduction loved it.

They also conned me into making my special banana coconut chocolate chip bread. Something about a bunch of bananas going bad.....sob story.

And I had to mow today.....hate that. But a good Sunday none the less.

Posted the chicken and dumplings in the recipe section. I borrowed it from Emeril. It really is excellent.
Just a heavenly broth.

Now the banana bread is going to take some work. It is buried in a really awesome bread book I have. Been meaning to digitize that baby.....I'll get on it.

That looks like a nice cold day dish. Just beautiful. One of these days, I am due for a pot of chicken soup and really would like to incorporate those dumplings. Nice touch and seems to be really hearty.

Piece of home made fresh bread out of the oven wouldn't hurt either. Dang. Can't get on my feet fast enough. Got to be patient.

Watching all the good stuff you guys are making.

Great looking comfort food Pappy.

Had a great weekend up here also. Sounds like the Dakota's got hit hard.
