Sparky a Traeger Junior is a good little cooker. I had one for a year before I traded up to a Memphis. You can get the tailgate kit and run it portable on an inverter(digital thermostat).

I say go for it ;)

Sparky I agree with Muebe. I have the TJ and upgraded the controller to the Ortech and also
bought the collapsible leg kit.  I took it to the Gathering and it worked great! Not as much room
as my Grid Iron but for a travel type pellet cooker it is good.

Why don't you give her the Mak 1 Star. You've mentioned that you prefer charcoal and cooking on the Weber products. And, if I remember correctly, you were trying to sell it. Then she would have a nice unit and you can help her with it with ease. Besides, if there are future warrantee issues, you could have them respond to you.

I completely misunderstood. I thought that your daughter wanted the Traeger as a wedding gift from you. My bad.

Mike you beat me to the punch! Although I was going to mention with the Yoder, Rec-Tec, Memphis, and Mak, if Sparky throws in a goat and a cow, we may have a deal!  just kidding!  Some up and coming smoker would jump at that deal..... ::)

Checking with the divorce lawyer now.  Not sure how long it will take.  May I have your daughters hand?  I will keep you informed  ;D

Sparky, if ids not too late she should seek out the GMG Davey Crockett. The JR can't hold a candle to it.

I only know this...HighOnSmoke cooked a LOT of food very well on his T jr t the Gathering in Augusta.  Ask anybody that was there.

No, you can't cook a whole hog in it, but you can cook more than I thought when I first saw it.  If you need any help with T jr...High...is your go-to guy.
