Since we brought Bella home, she has been infatuated with mirrors. Typical girl I guess!  lol

Very nice looking dog.   I'm glad it was a rescue as well, since there are soooo many dogs out there that need a good home.  CONGRATS!

I finally have a new son, a 7 week old English Lab.  We have taken care of one before, but never owned one.  They have an excellent disposition and love kids and people.  All puppies are cute.  Everyone needs a good dog for a companion.

We were struggling about getting another dog after our Gizmo left us this past June. We thought for sure we couldn't, but after a while we thought maybe we could one day. At some point the dark clouds moved and the Sun shined brightly. We decided on getting a catahoula leopard dog, but we wanted it to be a rescue dog. We looked, and looked with not a lot of luck, I was thinking that it was not to be, so we started to look for a different breed, and out of the blue.....this girl became available. She's approx. 2 years old. She's had a long day, I'll post a better pic later. Our home seems a little warmer all of a sudden!

Here's the perfect addition to your household click.

She is soooo sweet.  She'd be in my home but I already have three dogs.   I'd need a kennel license to add another.

She is a beauty Paul! They are a wonderful breed that is tough as nails but gentle as can be. I've been lobbying for a sibling for Bella with not much luck! We've had a run of bad luck recently.  Even tho Bella has been on heartworm preventative since her first vet check-up nearly 3 years ago, she has been heartworm positive. Prevetative is only 91 - 93% effective!   We just finished the last of the injections 30 days ago. It's been tough as the dog cannot get excited or exercised until the worms and babies (microfloria) are completely gone. These dogs live for exercise.  Wish us luck so Bella doesn't have to go through another battery of deep muscle injections.

Thanks Carl and Don, we are hoping the worst is over for Bella. The manufacturer of the preventative we have been using (Sentinel) has been talking to us and reports sent to them. They may pay the expensive vet bills for this. That would be nice, but most importantly we want our girl healthy again! She's like our youngest kid!
